A fire detection system (sometimes known as a fire alarm system) is a network of integrated fire detection devices that are controlled by a central control panel. While smoke and heat detectors are excellent for alerting persons in the local proximity of the source of the smoke. Only a fire detection system will notify people across the entire building, giving them adequate time to flee. The system can also be configured to call for help and broadcast emergency evacuation messages.
